One of my neighbors in the next town over was trying to recruit volunteers to help out at the National Day of Mourning in Plymouth on Thanksgiving. From his posting: “Since 1970, Native Americans and our supporters have gathered at noon on Cole’s Hill in Plymouth to commemorate a National Day of Mourning on the US thanksgiving holiday. Many Native Americans do not celebrate the arrival of the Pilgrims and other European settlers. Thanksgiving day is a reminder of the genocide of millions of Native people, the theft of Native lands, and the relentless assault on Native culture. Participants in National Day of Mourning honor Native ancestors and the struggles of Native peoples to survive today. It is a day …

Any time I’m feeling down I just watch this… Instantly happy. Works every time.
A boy mowing the lawn is about American as apple pie. For a great many of us it was the first job we had when we were growning up. Earlier this week, we were treated to the story of Frank Giaccio, an eleven year old from Falls Church Virginia, who wrote President Trump saying that it would be his “honor to mow the White House lawn.” The president took him up on his offer and Gaiccio did the job telling Fox News, “So far it’s pretty much the best day of my life.” Nice story. Hard working, self starter, showing ambition and drive. A story that should make everyone happy. Not so, Steven Greenhouse, former labor reporter for the New …
Page Six on the New York Post website did and article called “Here’s how much stars have donated toward Harvey relief efforts.’ Their list includes: J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans who raised $15.4 million through an online fund-raiser. Ellen Degeneres – $1 million (to Watt’s charity). Drake – $200,000 (to Watt’s charity). N.Y. Giants – $1 million. Sandra Bullock – $1 million. Leonardo DiCaprio – $1 million. Miley Cyrus – $500,000. Tyler Perry – $1 million. The Kardashians $500,000. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez – $50,000. Miranda Lambert – saved 100 plus dogs. They also go on to say that sixty-three companies have pledged $1 million or more. Every generous, although, one person was curiously missing from the list; …
President Trump was attacked last week when he said there were bad actors on both side. The Democrats, the Media and some Republicans denounced him for daring to say there were bad people on the Left. The message posted yesterday on the Boston Anitfa Facebook page couldn’t be clearer. “There is no room for capitalists, conservatives, libertarians, “classical liberals” or supporters of the US constitution in our city. You MUST leave.”
Love this comment by PapayaSF on an article over at the Instapundit site: “The DNC’s platform of more gun control, more government, more Obamacare, more illegal aliens, more Muslim refugees, and an alliance with the cop-haters of BLM was inexplicably unpopular among many Americans in 2016, so Democrats have decided to switch to an anti-free speech, anti-statue, pro-Antifa platform. That should work.”
